Ashfall is about the Yellowstone super-volcano when it erupts and covers America in ash. Alex Halprin is an average teenage boy who is home alone for the weekend in Cedar Falls,Iowa while his parents visit his uncle's farm in Illinois. When the volcano erupts, his house is destroyed and he must set out to find his family. Along the way he meets Darla,a strong willed girl who becomes his travel partner. Ashfall is a wonderful book that I highly recommend to any teen who's into apocalypses. Very well written and descriptive,Alex and Darla have a good romance. I would give it 9 stars! ~Sam
