What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen is a book about a girl named Mclean moving to a new place with a new persona. It's about her struggles to emotionally unattach herself from people in order to leave less heartache behind when she has to up and leave again. But what Mclean doesn't know is that sometimes being distant from people who really genuinely care is hard.
